HIKING TRIP SCOTLAND

Hiking meditation retreat in the Scottish Highlands

Start your development on this journey! Start a journey to yourself!

With guided meditations you will quickly come to your natural state of relaxation. The specially developed rituals and impulses during the hikes give you natural guidance for your personal development process. So combine a wonderful active hiking trip with deep relaxation and personal development in a small group of up to 8 travelers.

This hiking tour combines hiking in one of the most beautiful landscapes in Europe, the Scottish Highlands, with many moments that promote your relaxation and development and thus make it much more sustainable. We hike to natural power places where the Picts and Celts used the healing powers of nature over 2000 years ago. They had a rich knowledge of the healing connection to nature and its elements. You will be given the opportunity to learn more of this special knowledge and use it directly for yourself with the help of the selected daily topics.

We live

In Glencoe in the pretty hamlet of Ballachulish at the mouth of Loch Leven and Loch Linnhe. Our house is a former bishopric and offers great views of Loch Leven and the dramatic mountain scenery beyond. The house has a swimming pool and jacuzzi. There are numerous good hiking opportunities directly from the house and the village pub is just a stroll away.

Day 1 - arrival
Arrival in Edinburgh and a personal welcome at the airport. We begin the journey north to our first location hotel in the Glen Coe region.

Day 2 - arrival and speeds
From the Glencoe valley, which is a symbol of the beauty of the Highlands, immortalized in many films (most recently in Skyfall - James Bond and the Harry Potter films), we walk past the "Three Sisters" into the legendary "Lost Valley". Here, too, some well-known film scenes were shot, including for Braveheart. We are rewarded with a fantastic panorama: the mountains look significantly higher than they are, human settlements are rare, the lochs are deeply cut into the rugged mountains. The landscape seems endless. These are the images the Highlands are famous for.

In order to arrive consciously in this unique landscape, we dedicate ourselves to the subject of "speeds". The speeds that we assume and that we live. Everyone can look at their current pace and try out whether other speeds are more comfortable. It's not just about how fast you go, but also how quickly your thoughts change. With the help of a meditation we consciously say goodbye to all "disturbing" thoughts and arrive in the "here and now" and enjoy the unique mountain scenery.

3rd day - mountain energies - my inner mountain

Today's transfer brings us directly to the foot of the highest mountain in England, Ben Nevis. He towers imposingly over the middle highlands, like the king of this mountain world. We hike through the Glen Nevis river valley named after him, which meanders through the deep gullies of the mountain. Idyllic views of the Nevis River and the mountain of the same name line the path.

In the belief in nature of many indigenous cultures, all special mountains carry a special energy with which one can connect and which has a positive effect on one's own energy level. In addition to an introduction to indigenous mountain cults, each participant is invited to consciously direct their own attention to what a special charisma Mount Ben Nevis has. A longer meditation and a nature ritual let us immerse ourselves even more intensely in this perception of mountain energies and give us a lot of energy for the further journey.

(12 km, + - 100 m, walking time 3.5 - 4 hours)

4th day - The inner purification

We slowly climb up the initially very wooded slopes above Kinlochleven and Loch Leven along the well-known West Highland Way. The views of Loch Leven and later the mouth of Loch Linnhe are becoming more and more impressive. After we leave the West Highland Way eastwards, we pass through deeply cut creek valleys, soon to Loch Eilde Mor, which means in Gaelic: Large doe lake. We take a break at the lake and learn more about how the Celts and other indigenous peoples use the element of water to perform rituals of internal cleansing. After a lunch picnic, we will perform a gentle cleansing ritual on the shore of the lake, which offers powerful help in releasing all kinds of blockages. If you like, you can also refresh your feet in the cool lake. The further path leads us through another lonely stream valley, back to Kinlochleven.

(14 km, + - 450 m, GZ 4.5 - 5 hours)

Day 5 - Do as you like! - the day off!

Today is a very good day to rest for a day or just take a short hike. Very helpful in order to calmly process the previous experiences with the hikes and the topics of the day. The hotel has numerous route suggestions and hiking maps for the area. Alternatively, there is a day trip to Fort William and a boat trip over Loch Linnhe and Lochaber (90 min., Approx. € 15 / from Fort Williams). Tim Pagalies helps plan and organize the day off.

Day 6 - The power of silence

The enchanting island of Kerrera is not far from the tranquil port town of Oban. After the 1-hour bus transfer, take a short ferry crossing to the island and enjoy the views of the gentle coastal landscape.

The highlight of this day is that we walk the loop across the island together, mostly in silence. A meditation at the beginning of the silence helps to switch off the thoughts and to focus completely on the beautiful nature and your own inner experience. Much clearer and deeper impressions and emotions often appear. The island was already settled in pre-Christian times. We stop at a power place at this time and absorb the unique energy of this place. The further way leads us to the lonely south coast of the island. There we meet the Gylen Castle, an enchanted old castle ruin from the 16th century. Here we dissolve the silence and there is the opportunity for beautiful photo motifs along the further coastal path.

(10 km, + - 220 m, GZ 3.5 hours)

Day 7 - My vision and my potential

The short transfer brings us to the village of Glencoe at the foot of the valley of the same name. From there we can already see the imposing “greeting” mountain Pap of Glencoe at the entrance of the valley, “the breast of Glen Coe”. Today's way to the top of this mountain offers not only numerous breathtaking views, but also the opportunity to deal with your own "inner mountains" or hurdles that limit my potential and my visions.

What quickly appears to me as an insurmountable obstacle? Where do I set myself limits? How do I limit myself? What do I trust myself and what do I not?

At the beginning of the ascent, a short meditation introduces the topic of the day. This is followed by the common ascent, which offers ever greater views of the foothills of Loch Linnhe and Glen Coe.

Once at the top, there is an unforgettable panorama of the surrounding highlands. There I experience how lightness can arise in my life. A wonderful place to consciously set the starting signal for a healthy and happy life with all the impulses of the journey in your luggage.

On the way back we will perform a farewell ritual together in a natural place of strength. This serves to consciously say goodbye to the group and this special holiday.

(9.5 km, + - 750 m, GZ 5-6 hours)

Day 8 - departure
Shared transfer to Edinburgh Airport or individual onward / departure.

On our 3-4 hour drive back through the Highlands to the airport, everyone can review the journey and its impulses in peace.

It is possible to take a break on individual days. We reserve the right to change the accommodation and the itinerary.
